Dr. Lara Howard provides specialised assessments for First Episode of Psychosis (FEP), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Below are the required documents and information that must be sent by the referring GP to ensure a comprehensive evaluation. Please send all relevant documentation to info@jaaspsych.com.au.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD Assessment
For patients referred for ASD and ADHD assessments, please provide:
Routine Blood Tests
FBC, EUC, CMP, LFT, TFT (inc. T3/T4), B12, Folate, Fe-studies, Vit-D3, ESR, CRP
12-lead ECG
Urine Drug Screen
MRI-Brain (FLAIR or T2-weighted sequences)
Consider EEG
Physical Evaluation, Growth Parameters, and Metabolic Monitoring
Postural BP, Postural HR, Temperature, Weight, Height, BMI, Waist circumference, For children and adolescents, please ensure growth parameters are mapped against normative growth charts
First Episode of Psychosis (FEP) Assessment
For patients referred for a possible FEP, the following information is required:
Routine Blood Tests
FBC, EUC, CMP, LFT, TFT (inc. T3/T4), CK, B12, Folate, Fe-studies, Vit-D3, ESR, CRP
Autoimmune Panel (Serum)
Anti-NMDAR Ab, AMPA1, AMPA2, GABA-b, GAD65, CASPR2, DPPX, GlyR, MGluR5, LGI1, MGluR1, IgLON5, ANA, Neurexin-3a
Metabolic Screening
Fasting Lipids (Trig, and Chol.), Fasting BSL, HbA1c
12-lead ECG
Urine Drug Screen
MRI-Brain (FLAIR or T2-weighted sequences)
Consider EEG

Timely Submission
Ensure all test results and relevant information are forwarded to info@jaaspsych.com.au promptly. Delays in providing the required documentation may impact the assessment process.
