Steps to Claim Your Medicare Rebate Online
Step 1
Prepare Your Documents
Ensure you have your JAAS Psych invoice and Medicare card ready.
Note down the details from your invoice, such as the date of service, provider number, item number, and amount charged.
Step 3
Log In to Your Medicare Account
Click on the “Sign in” button.
Enter your myGov account details and log in.
If you don’t have a myGov account, you will need to create one and link it to your Medicare account.
Step 4
Navigate to the Claim Section
Once logged in, select “Medicare” from the linked services.
Click on “Submit a claim” under the “Claims” section.
Step 5
Enter Claim Details
Follow the prompts to enter the details from your JAAS Psych invoice: Date of service, Provider number, Item number, Amount charged
Confirm that the details match your invoice.
Step 6
Submit Your Claim
Review all entered information for accuracy.
Submit your claim. You will receive a confirmation message once the claim is successfully submitted.
Steps to Claim Your Medicare Rebate via the Medicare App

Download the Medicare App
If you haven’t already, download the “Medicare Express Plus” app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Step 2
Log In to the App
Open the app and log in using your myGov details linked to your Medicare account.
Step 3
Navigate to the Claim Section
From the app’s home screen, select “Claims.”

Enter Claim Details
Follow the app’s prompts to enter your invoice details, including: Date of service, Provider number, Item number, Amount charged
Step 5
Submit Your Claim
Review the information for accuracy.
Tap “Submit.” You will receive a confirmation notification once your claim is processed.
